The KEF T101 Satellite Speakers are an ultra-slim two-way design built around the same driver technology found in KEF's flagship products. At just 37mm deep — including the wall bracket — each enclosure fits flush against the wall like a picture frame, making them the natural companion for flat-panel televisions.
At the core of the T101 is KEF's proprietary Twin Layered MF Driver: a 120mm (4 inch) midrange unit only 27mm deep, using a twin-layer radiating diaphragm with Z-Flex Surround to maintain pistonic motion with minimal distortion across its working band. The 25mm vented tweeter features a Tangerine Waveguide — a technology shared with KEF's Reference and Muon Series models — which improves coupling between the tweeter dome and the air for superior high-frequency dispersion and lower distortion.
A key feature is the Selecta-Mount system, built into the supplied desk stand. When the stand is connected, the speaker automatically switches to its free-space equalisation setting. When wall-mounted using the included bracket (which adds only 2.5mm to cabinet depth), the speaker reverts to its on-wall compensation, correcting for boundary bass reinforcement so the tonal balance remains consistent regardless of placement.
The T101 can be oriented vertically as a satellite or rotated horizontally as a centre channel, making it a versatile building block for a complete KEF T Series home cinema system.
