The KEF RIF160R is a steel rough-in frame (also known as a new construction bracket) designed for use with KEF 160mm round in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. Installed during the pre-wiring stage of a new construction or renovation project, the RIF160R allows the installer to reserve the correct space in the ceiling and provides a clean, accurate cutout guide, simplifying installation and delivering a professional finish.
The frame is installed before plasterboard or other ceiling material is applied, so that when the time comes to fit the speaker, the cutout is already in place and the speaker drops in precisely. This approach eliminates the guesswork of measuring and cutting on-site and helps protect speaker locations during the building phase.
The RIF160R is compatible with a wide range of KEF 160mm round Ci-series in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, including the Ci160QR, Ci160CR, Ci160CRds, Ci160TR, Ci160SR, Ci160.2QR, Ci160.2FR, and the Ci160.2CS and Ci160.2CL series.
