The KEF RIF100S is a steel rough-in frame (also known as a new construction bracket) designed for use with KEF 100mm square in-ceiling speakers. Installed during the pre-wiring stage of a new construction or renovation project, the RIF100S allows the installer to reserve the correct space in the ceiling and provides a clean, accurate cutout guide, simplifying installation and delivering a professional finish.
The frame is installed before plasterboard or other ceiling material is applied, so that when the time comes to fit the speaker, the cutout is already in place and the speaker drops in precisely. This approach eliminates the guesswork of measuring and cutting on-site and helps protect speaker locations during the building phase.
The RIF100S is compatible with KEF's range of 100mm square Ci-series in-ceiling speakers, including the Ci100QS.
