KEF Q350 Bookshelf Speakers Satin White (Pair)

The Q350 is the larger of two bookshelf speakers in KEF’s Q Series, sitting above the Q150 and sharing the same 11th-generation Uni-Q driver technology found throughout the range. Where the Q150 uses a 130 mm mid/bass driver, the Q350 steps up to a 165 mm (6.5″) aluminium cone paired with a 25 mm (1″) vented aluminium dome tweeter mounted concentrically at its centre. This single-point-source arrangement ensures that all frequencies radiate from the same acoustic origin, producing a wide, even dispersion pattern that fills the room regardless of listening position.

Uni-Q Driver Array

The 11th-generation Uni-Q places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the mid/bass cone, allowing both drivers to behave as a single point source. A tangerine waveguide over the tweeter controls high-frequency dispersion, while a damped tweeter loading tube behind the dome smooths the lower treble response. The result is a coherent, three-dimensional soundstage with consistent tonal balance across a wide listening area.

Cabinet & Port Design

The Q350’s enclosure is a rear-ported bass reflex design built from MDF with a vinyl wrap finish. KEF used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to shape the port profile, reducing turbulence and midrange leakage that can colour the sound in conventional ported speakers. A low-distortion inductor on the crossover network cleans up the bass further, and two foam port plugs are included for tuning low-frequency response in room placements close to a rear wall. The crossover point sits at 2.5 kHz.

Performance

With a sensitivity of 87 dB (2.83V/1m) and a nominal impedance of 8 Ω (minimum 3.7 Ω), the Q350 is an easy load for most amplifiers in the 15–120 W range. Frequency response extends from 63 Hz to 28 kHz (±3 dB), with usable bass reaching down to 42 Hz at the −6 dB point. Maximum output is rated at 110 dB. A magnetic grille is included and can be removed for critical listening.
