KEF LSX II LT Wireless Speakers Stone White (Pair)

The KEF LSX II LT is a compact, self-contained wireless speaker system that delivers high-resolution audio without the need for a separate amplifier or streamer. It is the entry point to KEF's LS Wireless Collection, sitting below the LSX II, LS50 Wireless II and LS60 Wireless, and is a streamlined version of the award-winning LSX II: it keeps the same Uni-Q driver array, the same amplification and the same W2 wireless platform, but pares back some of the secondary features to reach a lower price. This Stone White finish is one of three tone-on-tone satin matte finishes, with the Uni-Q driver and port colour-matched to the cabinet.

Uni-Q Driver Array

Each speaker uses the same 11th generation Uni-Q driver array as the LSX II, placing a 19mm aluminium dome tweeter at the acoustic centre of a 115mm magnesium/aluminium alloy bass/midrange cone. This point-source arrangement eliminates the traditional narrow sweet spot and delivers an even, precisely imaged soundstage across the room. Both the primary and secondary speakers carry their own dedicated Class D amplifiers, 70W for the bass/midrange and 30W for the tweeter in each speaker, for a combined 200W of system power and a maximum output of 102dB. KEF's Music Integrity Engine, a suite of digital signal processing algorithms optimised for the Uni-Q driver, handles timing and tonal balance.

Wireless Streaming and Connectivity

The LSX II LT supports AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and UPnP, with Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect built in, and Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, internet radio and podcasts available through the KEF Connect app. Bluetooth 5.0 is included for direct pairing, and when partnered with other LS Wireless systems the speakers can join an AirPlay 2 or Chromecast multiroom set-up. For wired sources, the primary speaker offers HDMI ARC for a television, TOSLINK optical for a games console or CD player, a USB-C input for a desktop computer and an Ethernet port for a wired network connection. An RCA subwoofer output allows a KEF subwoofer to be added, with subwoofer presets built into the Room EQ.

What the LT Leaves Out

Compared with the LSX II, the LSX II LT has no 3.5mm analogue input, no Roon Ready certification and no MQA support, and the two speakers connect only by cable: a 3m USB-C interspeaker cable is supplied, with an optional 8m C-Link cable available for wider placement. The secondary speaker draws its power through the interspeaker connection, so only the primary speaker needs a mains socket.

High-Resolution Audio Support

Source resolutions of up to 384kHz/24-bit are supported over the network, 96kHz/24-bit via optical and 192kHz/24-bit via USB-C, with all sources resampled to 96kHz/24-bit over the wired interspeaker link. Supported network formats include DSD, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, AAC, WMA, MP3, M4A, LPCM and Ogg Vorbis.

KEF Connect App and Room EQ

The KEF Connect app walks through set-up and controls source selection, volume and playback. Its Room EQ offers a guided Normal mode and an Expert mode with Desk Mode, Wall Mode, Treble Trim, Phase Correction and Bass Extension adjustments, so the system can be tuned to its position and the room. Home automation control is supported for Elan, RTI, Crestron Home, Savant, Control4 and URC systems through KEF's W2 drivers. Mounting inserts on the cabinet allow secure placement on the KEF P1 desk pad or S1 floor stand.

The cabinet is the work of industrial designer Michael Young, whose pared-down aesthetic carries over from the LSX II. The LSX II LT is offered in Graphite Grey, Stone White and Sage Green.
