The KEF LSX II is a compact, self-contained wireless speaker system that delivers high-resolution audio without the need for a separate amplifier or streamer. As the smaller sibling to the LS50 Wireless II, it brings the same philosophy of built-in amplification and comprehensive streaming into a more compact form suited to desks, shelves, and smaller listening rooms.
Uni-Q Driver Array
At the heart of each speaker is KEF's fourth-generation Uni-Q driver array, which positions a 19mm aluminium dome tweeter at the acoustic centre of a 115mm magnesium/aluminium alloy bass/midrange cone. This coincident-source configuration creates a wide, even soundstage with precise imaging across the listening room. Each speaker uses a dedicated Class D amplifier arrangement, delivering 70W to the bass/midrange driver and 30W to the tweeter, for a combined system output of 200W.
Wireless Streaming and Connectivity
The LSX II supports AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready endpoint, and UPnP, as well as Amazon Music, Qobuz, and Deezer via the KEF Connect app. Bluetooth 5.0 is included for direct device pairing. For wired sources, each primary speaker features HDMI ARC, optical (TOSLINK), USB-C, and 3.5mm analogue inputs, plus an Ethernet port for a network connection. There is also an RCA subwoofer output for adding a separate subwoofer.
High-Resolution Audio Support
The LSX II supports source resolutions up to 384kHz/24-bit over the network, 96kHz/24-bit via optical, and 192kHz/24-bit via USB-C. Formats include FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, DSD, MQA, AAC, WMA, MP3, and Ogg Vorbis. The two speakers can communicate wirelessly for all sources resampled to 48kHz/24-bit PCM, or via the supplied wired link cable at 96kHz/24-bit for high-resolution playback.
KEF Connect App
The KEF Connect app provides full control over source selection, volume, EQ settings (including Bass/Treble, Desk, Wall Mode, and Phase Correction), firmware updates, and access to streaming services. Home automation integration is supported via Control4, Crestron, Savant, Elan, and RTi.
Cotton White Finish
This Cotton White edition features a light fabric grille and white cabinet, with KEF's distinctive Uni-Q driver surround. The LSX II is also available in Carbon Black and Soundwave by Terence Conran editions.
