Add Wireless Capability to Your KEF Subwoofer
The KEF KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter Receiver is the standalone receiver unit from KEF's KW1 wireless adapter kit. When paired with a KW1 transmitter (sold with the full TX/RX kit), it connects directly to your KEF subwoofer's expansion port, allowing you to position your sub in the acoustically ideal spot without running long cables across the room.
Buying the receiver separately makes it possible to run two KEF subwoofers wirelessly from a single KW1 transmitter. Each receiver picks up the same signal independently, giving you the flexibility to create a dual-subwoofer setup without any additional wiring.
High-Resolution Wireless Audio
The KW1 operates in the 5.2GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands, well away from the congested 2.4GHz spectrum used by many household devices. This gives it a stable, interference-free connection capable of carrying lossless audio at up to 24bit/48kHz resolution. Latency is kept below 17ms, ensuring tight bass response that stays in sync with the rest of your system.
Pairing is straightforward: press the pair button on each unit and the link is established in seconds. Once paired, the connection is retained and reconnects automatically. The 30m line-of-sight range means the receiver can be placed virtually anywhere in a typical listening room.
Compatibility
The KW1 receiver is compatible with the following KEF subwoofers and wireless systems:
- KEF Kube 8b, Kube 10b, Kube 12b
- KEF KC62, KC92
- KEF KF92
- KEF LSX II LT, LSX II, LS50 Wireless II, LS60 Wireless
The receiver is powered directly from the subwoofer's expansion port, so no separate power supply is required.
