Uni-Q Driver Technology
At the heart of the Ci200er is KEF's patented Uni-Q driver array, which places the 16mm aluminium dome tweeter concentrically within the 200mm (8-inch) bass/mid driver. This coincident point-source arrangement ensures that both high and low frequencies radiate from a single acoustic point in space, producing a wider and more even sound field than conventional two-driver designs. Listeners seated anywhere in the room can enjoy consistent tonal balance and imaging without being restricted to a narrow sweet spot.
Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) Design
The Ci200er features KEF's Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) technology, which minimises the visible rim around the speaker assembly to the smallest practical size. Once installed, the speaker sits almost invisibly in the ceiling. The bezel and magnetic grille can be painted to match the surrounding decor, allowing for a completely seamless finish.
Weather-Resistant Construction
The Ci200er is manufactured to weather-resistant construction standards, making it suitable for installation in bathrooms, kitchens, and other demanding environments. The grilles are treated via a proprietary coating process, the speakers use moisture-resistant terminations and finish materials, and the plastics are UV-protected for long-term durability.
Flexible Installation
The spring-loaded dog-leg mounting system allows the Ci200er to be installed quickly and securely without specialist tools, clamping to ceiling thicknesses between 6mm and 37mm. An optional rough-in frame (RIF200R) and rear enclosure (RNC200R) are available for pre-wiring and back-box applications respectively.
