Driver Technology
The Ci200.3QT is a two-way design built around a 200mm (8”) polypropylene cone bass/mid driver with a coincident-mounted 25mm (1”) aluminium dome tweeter. The tweeter is ferrofluid cooled for improved power handling and thermal stability. This coaxial arrangement — mounting the high-frequency unit at the acoustic centre of the bass cone — delivers consistent dispersion characteristics across the listening area, which is particularly important for ceiling-mounted speakers where listeners are rarely positioned directly on-axis.
ACE Technology & Motorised Deployment
KEF's proprietary ACE (Acoustic Compliance Enhancement) technology extends the low-frequency response from the bass driver, allowing the sealed enclosure to reach deeper than its physical volume would normally permit. Five pre-set tilt positions allow the installer to aim the driver precisely at the primary listening position, compensating for off-axis placement. The Ci200.3QT requires a rectangular ceiling cut-out of 363 × 260 mm with a mounting depth of 210 mm.
