The KEF Ci130.2CR is a 2-way in-ceiling speaker from KEF's Ci-C Series, designed for custom installation in home cinema, multi-room audio, and whole-house audio distribution systems.
At its heart is KEF's patented Uni-Q driver array, which positions a 16mm aluminium dome tweeter with tangerine waveguide at the acoustic centre of the 130mm bass/midrange cone. This coaxial arrangement means both drive units share a single point source, dispersing sound widely and evenly throughout the room. Wherever listeners are seated, they hear a consistent, detailed soundstage without the localisation effects common in conventional two-driver designs.
The Ci130.2CR's Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) sits flush against the ceiling surface, and the included magnetic grille can be painted to match any decor. The speaker is rated IP64 for weather resistance, making it suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms and covered outdoor areas. Its shallow mounting depth of just 77.7mm allows installation in a wide range of ceiling constructions, and optional accessories include the RIF130R rough-in frame for pre-wiring during construction and the RNC130R rear enclosure for controlled bass in open-ceiling installations.
Compatible with standard 8-ohm amplifier outputs, the Ci130.2CR accepts up to 80W and delivers a frequency response of 52Hz to 20kHz.
