The LKV380PRO is Lenkeng's HDbitT-based HDMI distribution kit for multi-room installations. It transmits a single 1080p HDMI source to up to four independent displays simultaneously, travelling across the building's existing 230 V mains wiring — no Cat 5e runs, no new conduit, and no dedicated signal cable of any kind. The 4-zone kit contains one transmitter and four receivers.

Distribution over Power Line

HDbitT is a powerline AV transport protocol that modulates compressed HD video onto the AC mains. The transmitter and all receivers must be on the same electrical circuit; the signal does not cross consumer unit phase boundaries or metering points. Transmission range extends to 300 metres over the power line, making the system practical for large houses, small commercial spaces, and installations where cable routing is impractical. No compression artefacts are visible at normal viewing distances on 1080p material.

Plug-and-Play Operation

The system uses automatic scan-and-pair to establish links between the transmitter and receivers. Powering the units on the same circuit is sufficient to bring them online; no IP addressing, network switches, or configuration software are required. The transmitter carries an HDMI loop-out socket so the source device can also feed a local display directly, allowing the source room to remain in the distribution system without an additional receiver.

IR Pass-Back

Each receiver includes an IR sensor; the transmitter includes a corresponding IR emitter positioned in front of the source device. A viewer in any receiving room can point their remote at the display and the IR signal is passed back to the transmitter, where it is re-emitted to control the source. The system handles IR frequencies from 20 to 60 kHz, covering the commands of the vast majority of consumer AV remote controls. IR pass-back operates across all four zones simultaneously.

Security

AES encryption is applied to the transmitted video stream, preventing interception or eavesdropping on shared electrical circuits such as those found in converted buildings or small commercial premises where the mains ring is shared between multiple occupancies.
