The Omega sits at the top of Peerless’s HDMI cable range, above the Delta and Alpha series. Engineered for demanding home-cinema and hi-fi installations, it pairs oversized silver-plated OFC conductors with a nitrogen-injected dielectric and comprehensive shielding to deliver a clean, high-bandwidth digital signal path.
Conductor & Dielectric Construction
At the core of the Omega are 24 AWG, 99.9999% long-grain high-purity symmetrical silver-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors. The oversized gauge provides additional headroom for signal transfer, minimising distortion and supporting the full bandwidth demanded by HDMI 1.4 High Speed with Ethernet. Surrounding the conductors, nitrogen gas-injected foamed polyethylene dielectric maximises the air content around each conductor, reducing both conductive and capacitive interference.
Shielding & Interference Rejection
Multiple layers of shielding protect the signal from external interference. A tinned copper braid and aluminium-Mylar foil wrap the conductor bundle, while twin ferrite RFI/EMI filters at the connector ends suppress high-frequency noise before it can enter connected equipment. This triple-layer approach is particularly effective in installations where HDMI cables run alongside mains or other signal cables.
Connector & Build Quality
Each HDMI Type A connector is built around a zinc alloy headshell finished in piano black with an aluminium insert, giving the plug both rigidity and a premium feel. The 24k hard gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain reliable conductivity over repeated insertions. Internally, resistance-welded joints coupled with silver solder prioritise the connection interface between conductor and connector. The cable jacket combines a PVC outer layer with a woven nylon mesh sleeve for enhanced durability and a distinctive appearance.
Features
As an HDMI 1.4 High Speed cable with Ethernet, the Omega supports an Audio Return Channel (ARC), eliminating the need for a separate audio cable between a television with an integrated tuner and an AV receiver or amplifier. Every cable is Bit Error Rate and Eye Pattern tested to guarantee performance before leaving the factory.
