The Focal Kanta N°2 is the three-way floorstander at the heart of Focal's high-end Kanta range, handcrafted in France to pair distinctive contemporary styling with reference-grade sound. It brings together two of Focal's signature driver technologies: the natural Flax sandwich cone for the midrange and bass, and the pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter, delivering a clear, dynamic and open presentation with surprising bass extension for a cabinet of this size.
Flax sandwich cones
The midrange and twin bass drivers use Focal's Flax cone, a sandwich of high-quality French flax fibre held between two thin sheets of glass fibre. The result is a membrane that is light, rigid and well damped, giving a neutral, detailed midband and tight, articulate bass.
Beryllium IAL3 tweeter
The high frequencies are handled by Focal's latest-generation IAL3 pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter. Beryllium's exceptional stiffness allows the dome to stay perfectly controlled across an exceptionally wide bandwidth, for airy, finely resolved treble that integrates seamlessly with the Flax midrange.
Engineering for control
NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) magnet technology and TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) surrounds work together to keep the drivers linear and free of distortion, while the one-piece moulded cabinet and high-density polymer front baffle are tuned to suppress unwanted resonance.
Design and finish
Finished in Black High Gloss with a matte black front baffle, the Kanta N°2 makes a striking visual statement. Its sculpted, slightly leaning cabinet and machined feet are engineered for both rigidity and a clean, modern look in any listening room.
