The Black Rhodium Rhythm is a single subwoofer interconnect cable terminated with high quality RCA phono plugs at each end, designed to carry the low-frequency signal from an AV receiver or processor preamplifier output to an active subwoofer.
The conductors are silver plated copper, formed from 19 strands of 0.2mm wire, chosen to maintain clarity through the upper bass and to deliver an even tonal balance across the audio range. The conductors are insulated with high quality PTFE, an inert dielectric that resists signal absorption and re-radiation, helping to keep the bass tight and well defined.
A silver plated copper braided screen surrounds the inner core to reject radio frequency interference and reduce the noise floor, which is particularly useful in installations where the subwoofer cable runs alongside mains leads or other signal cables.
The cable is supplied in directional form, with the signal flow direction indicated by the printing on the sheath, and is terminated with Black Rhodium's hourglass silhouette RCA plugs for a secure, easily removable connection. The Rhythm is manufactured in England and supplied here as a single 10 metre cable.
