The Black Rhodium Rhapsody is a stereo RCA interconnect cable built around high purity tinned copper conductors. Tinned copper is chosen for its resistance to oxidation, which helps maintain consistent signal transfer over time, contributing to stable stereo imaging.
Construction
The conductors are internally twisted within the cable, a geometry that promotes superior rejection of external electromagnetic interference and delivers a smoother, quieter signal path. The cable uses silicone rubber insulation, which offers low dielectric loss. This reduces time-smearing effects, enabling more accurate portrayal of leading-edge transients and natural musical decays.
Connectors
The Rhapsody is terminated with gold plated hourglass silhouette RCA phono plugs. The hourglass profile is designed for ease of use in confined spaces behind equipment, while gold plating ensures reliable contact and low resistance at the connection point.
Directional Design
Black Rhodium applies advanced quality control of the direction of wiring during production. Directional heat shrinks are applied to the sheath, clearly marking the intended signal direction. This directional approach is intended to deliver superior stereo imaging and lower background noise when the cable is connected in the indicated direction.
