The AudioQuest Tower is a stereo RCA-to-RCA analogue interconnect from AudioQuest's Bridges & Falls range, sitting above the entry-level Evergreen and below the Big Sur. It is designed for connecting source components such as CD players, network streamers, turntable phono stages, and DACs to integrated amplifiers, stereo amplifiers, or AV receivers.

Conductor & Dielectric

Tower uses Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors rather than stranded wire. Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion — the signal-degrading effect that occurs when current crosses between individual strands in a conventional cable. AudioQuest specifies LGC over standard OFHC copper, citing its longer grain structure and fewer crystal boundaries as contributing to a smoother, clearer signal path.

The insulation is Foamed Polyethylene (PE), chosen for its high air content. Because air absorbs less energy than solid plastic, Foamed-PE reduces the dielectric absorption that can blur transient detail and compress dynamic contrasts.

Geometry & Shielding

Tower employs AudioQuest's Asymmetrical Double-Balanced geometry, engineered specifically for single-ended (RCA) applications. This design provides a lower impedance on the ground path than on the signal path, which AudioQuest says contributes to richer dynamics and a more natural tonal balance.

A Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation system shields the cable's own shield, reflecting radio-frequency interference away before it can modulate the ground reference. This approach addresses RF noise at the outer boundary rather than draining it through the ground conductor.

Terminations

The RCA plugs are Cold-Welded and gold-plated. Cold-welding uses high pressure rather than solder to join the conductor to the plug, eliminating solder — a common source of contact distortion — from the signal path. The ground shells are stamped rather than machined, a deliberate material choice that AudioQuest says prioritises low-distortion performance over cosmetic finish.
