Each Ultra Max Edition is built from hand-picked optical units selected for higher brightness, deeper contrast and superior image consistency, and is distinguished by a wood-texture front fascia manufactured exclusively for this edition.
Contrast and Black Level
At the heart of the Ultra Max is XGIMI's Dual Intelligent Iris System: two self-adjusting iris modules with five selectable levels that proactively shape image brightness, preserving deep blacks without dulling highlights. The result is a native contrast ratio of 12,000:1, achieved through optical light control rather than digital dimming. XGIMI's Dual IrisSync calibration aligns iris movement with the RGB light sequence and DMD switching to millisecond accuracy, while the company's own X-Vision image chip drives Dynamic Black Level Enhancement, fine-tuning dark scenes in real time for deeper blacks and stable shadow detail.
Brightness and Colour
An RGB triple laser light source built on a 50 laser chip architecture delivers a peak brightness of 8000 ISO lumens, while 2200 ISO lumens of DarkField brightness preserves luminance in high-contrast viewing for richer blacks without losing clarity. Colour accuracy is a particular strength: Delta E is below 0.8 across the BT.2020, DCI-P3, Rec.709 and AdobeRGB standards, with 110% coverage of the BT.2020 colour gamut. IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Filmmaker Mode and dynamic tone mapping are all supported, and the next-generation 0.47-inch SST DMD chip from Texas Instruments is engineered to sustain high brightness with maximum image stability over long viewing sessions.
Optics and Installation
The X-Master Red Ring Lens is a 15-element, A-grade optical system designed for superior sharpness and true edge-to-edge clarity. A 0.98-2.0:1 throw ratio with optical zoom and generous lens shift of plus or minus 130% vertically and 50% horizontally gives wide freedom in placement while maintaining distortion-free image geometry. Lens memory stores up to five custom lens positions, switching instantly between 16:9 material and 2.35:1 CinemaScope films. Ventilation is located underneath the projector, so the supplied desktop stand should be used to ensure proper cooling.
Gaming
For big-screen gaming the Ultra Max offers 1ms input lag with support for up to 240Hz at 1080p, VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync, while Gigabit LAN provides a stable, low-latency wired connection.
Connectivity and Sound
Connections comprise three HDMI inputs (HDMI 1 with eARC), USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, an optical digital audio output and an analogue audio output. Sound by Harman Kardon is built in, with two 12W speakers and DTS Virtual:X processing, and the projector also supports 3D playback and native 24fps cinema playback with Anti-RBE technology. An MT9681 SoC with 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage runs the smart platform.
