Description

The TITAN Noir is the entry point to XGIMI's flagship TITAN Noir Series of dedicated home cinema projectors, sitting below the TITAN Noir Pro and TITAN Noir Max in the range. It is a long-throw 4K projector built around an RGB triple laser light source and the new 0.47 inch SST DMD chip from Texas Instruments, with its engineering focused on native contrast and black-level performance rather than all-in-one smart features.

Dual Intelligent Iris System

At the heart of the TITAN Noir is XGIMI's dual intelligent iris system: two self-adjusting iris modules with five selectable levels that control scene luminance optically rather than through digital dimming. The aperture ranges from f/2.0 wide open, where brightness floods the room, down to f/7.0, where contrast is at its highest and shadow nuance is revealed. The result is a native contrast ratio of up to 7000:1, with well-defined shadow detail and clean, noise-free dark scenes.

With the frame-adaptive dynamic iris enabled, the projector continuously analyses picture brightness and physically adjusts the iris for optimal contrast, while Dynamic Black Level Enhancement (DBLE), driven by XGIMI's own X-Vision image chip, fine-tunes dark scenes in real time to push dynamic contrast up to 100,000:1. XGIMI's Dual IrisSync calibration synchronises iris motion with the RGB light sequencing and DMD switching at millisecond level, and every unit receives individual colour calibration at the factory.

Brightness and Colour

A 30-chip RGB triple laser architecture delivers 4800 ISO lumens of brightness with 110% coverage of the BT.2020 colour space. Colour accuracy is calibrated to Delta E below 0.8 across all four major standards: BT.2020, DCI-P3, Rec.709 and AdobeRGB. The TITAN Noir supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, along with Filmmaker Mode and scene-aware dynamic tone mapping, and 24fps playback preserves the original cinematic cadence. Anti-RBE technology reduces rainbow artefacts for more comfortable extended viewing, and 3D playback is supported.

Optics and Installation

The X-Master Red Ring lens uses a 15-element, A-grade optical system for edge-to-edge clarity. A 0.98-2.0:1 throw ratio with optical zoom, plus a wide lens-shift range of plus or minus 130% vertical and plus or minus 50% horizontal, gives genuine freedom of placement, and the projector supports front, rear and ceiling installation with image sizes from 40 to 300 inches. Lens memory stores up to five custom lens positions, allowing instant switching between 16:9 material and 2.35:1 CinemaScope films. Auto focus, uninterrupted auto keystone correction, intelligent screen alignment and obstacle avoidance simplify setup.

Gaming

In game mode the TITAN Noir achieves 1ms input lag at 1080p 240Hz and 3ms at 4K 60Hz, with VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync certification for tear-free play, while the Gigabit LAN port provides a stable, low-latency wired connection for consoles and cloud gaming.

Sound and Connectivity

A built-in 2 x 12W Harman Kardon speaker system supports DTS Virtual:X, DTS-HD, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. Connections include three HDMI inputs (HDMI 1 with eARC), USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, optical and analogue audio outputs, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The TITAN Noir has no built-in streaming operating system: it is designed as a dedicated cinema display to be partnered with an external streaming device, media player or disc source over HDMI. Fan noise is rated at 28dB or lower at one metre.
