The Horizon 20 Pro is the middle model in XGIMI's Horizon 20 series of 4K home projectors, sitting above the standard Horizon 20 and below the flagship Horizon 20 Max. Unveiled at IFA 2025, the series spans 3200 to 5700 ISO lumens, and the Pro's 4100 ISO lumen output places it squarely between the two; XGIMI positions it as the tier for gamers and film fans who want pro-grade visuals without stepping up to the Max. It projects an image from 40 up to 300 inches, with 60 to 150 inches the recommended range.
Picture Quality
Built around a 0.47 inch DMD DLP chip, the Horizon 20 Pro delivers a 3840 x 2160 picture with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio (with DBLE engaged) and colour reaching 110% of the BT.2020 gamut. Dolby Vision performs frame-by-frame image optimisation, HDR10+ dynamically adjusts brightness and colour per scene, and IMAX Enhanced support brings the IMAX presentation home. Filmmaker Mode preserves the original frame rate, aspect ratio, colours and brightness so films appear as the director intended, while MEMC motion smoothing and 3D playback are also on board.
X-Master Triple Laser Light Engine
The picture is powered by XGIMI's X-Master RGB triple laser engine. Its 4100 ISO lumens are bright enough to handle daytime viewing, and expanded wavelength coverage minimises the speckle and chromatic fringing that can affect laser projection, for sharper, purer images.
Lens Shift and Setup
For the first time on an XGIMI home projector, mechanical lens shift lets you move the image up, down, left or right (vertical ±120%, horizontal ±45%) without touching the projector and without scaling or distortion. A high light transmission coated lens with true optical zoom covers a 1.2-1.5:1 throw ratio, and the ISA 5.0 suite handles the rest of the setup automatically: uninterrupted auto keystone correction, auto focus, intelligent obstacle avoidance, intelligent screen alignment, wall colour adaptation and eye protection.
Gaming
The Horizon 20 Pro is built for serious gaming, with 1ms latency at 1080p/240Hz, 2.2ms at 1080p/120Hz and 3ms at 4K/60Hz in Game Mode, plus VRR and ALLM for smooth, tear-free play on gaming visuals up to 200 inches. It connects readily to PS5, Xbox, Switch or cloud gaming platforms.
Sound
Twin 12W Harman Kardon speakers are built in, with support for DTS Virtual:X, DTS-HD, Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus.
Smart Features and Connectivity
Google TV is built in, giving direct access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and more, with Google Home integration for hands-free voice control. The flagship MT9679 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage keeps apps quick, and XGIMI provides up to four years of over-the-air software support. Physical connections include two HDMI inputs (HDMI 1 with eARC), USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, plus optical and audio outputs, alongside Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Running at 28dB or less, it stays quiet in use, and the Elephant Grey chassis with its leather-like finish is designed to look the part in the living room.
