XGIMI Horizon 20 Max 4K Laser Projector

The Horizon 20 Max is the flagship of XGIMI's Horizon 20 Series, sitting above the Horizon 20 and Horizon 20 Pro at the top of the range. Unveiled at IFA 2025, it combines a triple laser light engine, a genuine optical zoom lens and an integrated gimbal-style stand in a compact unit finished in Elephant Grey with a leather-like texture, making it equally at home in a dedicated cinema room or a bright living space.

X-Master Triple Laser Engine

XGIMI's X-Master RGB triple laser engine delivers 5700 ISO lumens of peak brightness for daylight-ready viewing, alongside a 20,000:1 contrast ratio with DBLE enabled and colour coverage of 110% of the BT.2020 gamut. A 0.47 inch DMD DLP chip projects a full 3840 x 2160 4K picture, and colour accuracy is SGS certified at Delta E below 0.8 in high colour accuracy mode. HDR support is unusually complete for a projector, covering Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, with Filmmaker Mode and dynamic tone mapping also on board. 3D playback is supported in Frame Packing and Side by Side formats.

Lossless Optics

Rather than relying on digital correction, the Horizon 20 Max adjusts its image optically. A high light transmission coated lens provides true optical zoom and generous lens shift of plus or minus 120% vertically and 45% horizontally, so the picture can be resized and repositioned with no loss of resolution. The 1.2-1.5:1 throw ratio produces images from 40 to 300 inches, with XGIMI recommending 60 to 150 inches for the best results. Setup is largely automatic: uninterrupted auto keystone correction, autofocus, intelligent screen alignment, obstacle avoidance and wall colour adaptation are all built in, and the integrated stand lets you adjust the projection angle without separate brackets.

Gaming Performance

In Game Mode with VRR enabled, input lag drops as low as 1ms at 1080p/240Hz, 2.2ms at 1080p/120Hz and 3ms at 4K/60Hz, and the picture is calibrated for HDR gaming on screens up to 300 inches. MEMC motion smoothing is also available for sport and fast-moving content.

Google TV, Sound and Connectivity

Google TV is built in, with instant access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and other streaming apps, hands-free voice control through Google Home, and casting over Google Cast and DLNA. Wireless connectivity covers WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while the rear panel carries two HDMI inputs (HDMI 1 with eARC), USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, plus optical and analogue audio outputs. Sound comes from a pair of 12W Harman Kardon speakers with DTS Virtual:X, DTS-HD and Dolby Audio support, and running noise is kept to 28dB or below at one metre. A backlit Bluetooth remote control is included, and XGIMI provides up to four years of over-the-air software support from the product's mass production date.
