The Elfin Flip Plus sits in the middle of XGIMI's Elfin Flip range of portable smart projectors, above the standard Elfin Flip and below the laser-lit Elfin Flip 4K. It keeps the distinctive book-sized folding design of the original and upgrades it with a brighter picture, Google TV and a backlit remote control.
Picture Quality
An LED light source and 0.23in DMD DLP chip deliver a Full HD 1920 x 1080 image at 500 ISO lumens, a 25% brightness increase over the standard Elfin Flip that helps the picture stay watchable in rooms with some ambient light. XGIMI's Enhanced Black Level (EBL) processing lifts the contrast ratio to 4000:1 for deeper blacks once the lights go down, while the colour gamut covers 121% of the Rec.709 standard and HDR10 content is supported. The 1.2:1 throw ratio produces images up to 200 inches, with XGIMI recommending a projection size of 80 to 150 inches for the best results.
Google TV Built In
Google TV runs on the projector itself with licensed Netflix pre-installed, so there is no streaming stick or workaround needed: switch on and start watching. The Google Play Store provides access to more than 5,000 apps including YouTube and Prime Video, and Google Cast and DLNA support let you cast content wirelessly from Apple and Android devices.
Flip-and-Play Design
At just 71mm thick and 1.1kg, the Elfin Flip Plus is genuinely book-sized, with the frame doubling as a carry handle. The integrated stand tilts through 150 degrees, so it can project onto a wall or the ceiling from almost any position, and folding the projector shut protects the lens in transit. XGIMI's Intelligent Screen Adaption (ISA) technology handles setup automatically, combining uninterrupted auto keystone correction and autofocus with no disruptive on-screen prompts, while Intelligent Eye Protection dims the beam whenever someone crosses in front of the lens.
Sound, Gaming and Connectivity
Two built-in 3W speakers with Dolby Audio support handle films and music, and Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band WiFi 5 cover wireless connections. A single HDMI input with ARC and a USB port take care of physical sources, and a dedicated Game Mode reduces input latency to as little as 20ms at 1080p/60Hz with keystone correction off. Fan noise stays below 28dB at one metre, and XGIMI backs the projector with up to four years of over-the-air software support.
