Wicked (2024) is the big-screen musical adaptation of the long-running stage show, directed by Jon M. Chu and produced by Universal Pictures with original stage producer Marc Platt. The film adapts the first act of Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's Broadway musical, itself based on Gregory Maguire's reimagining of L. Frank Baum's Oz stories.
Set in the Land of Oz before Dorothy's arrival, the film follows the unlikely friendship between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), the misunderstood green-skinned outsider who will become the Wicked Witch of the West, and Galinda (Ariana Grande), the popular student destined to become Glinda the Good. Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum feature in supporting roles. Wicked received ten Academy Award nominations and won Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.

This two-disc UK release includes the theatrical cut and a sing-along version, presented in 2160p Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and HDR10, plus a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Over 60 minutes of bonus content covers the making of the film, deleted and extended scenes, and feature commentary with Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and director Jon M. Chu. BBFC rating: PG.
