The Wharfedale EVO 5.2 Stands in Black are dedicated, purpose-built speaker stands designed to partner the EVO 5.1 and EVO 5.2 bookshelf loudspeakers from Wharfedale's EVO 5 series. Rather than a generic stand adapted to suit, they are engineered from the ground up around the EVO 5.2's cabinet dimensions and curved aesthetic, with top and base plates that mirror the speaker's own design language for a properly matched, considered look.
High-Carbon Steel Construction
The column, top plate, and base are all fabricated from high-carbon steel for maximum rigidity. The 260 × 350mm top plate is shaped to cradle the EVO 5.2 securely, while the weighted 302 × 350mm base lowers the centre of gravity and resists rocking. At 13.3kg per stand, the assembly has the mass needed to anchor the speaker and absorb cabinet-induced energy that would otherwise smear timing and detail.
Optimised Listening Height
The 478mm height places the EVO 5.2's tweeter at a seated ear level that suits most domestic listening arrangements. Correct vertical alignment keeps the listener on-axis with the tweeter, which is where imaging accuracy and high-frequency detail are at their best.
Black Paint Finish
The stands are finished in a satin black paint across the column, top plate, and base, with a discreet Wharfedale logo on the base. The black finish partners directly with the Black, Lunar Grey, and White versions of the EVO 5.2 bookshelf speakers, while suiting any room where an unobtrusive stand is preferred.
Floor Coupling
Hardened high-carbon steel base spikes are integrated into the design for use on carpeted floors, decoupling the stand from the surface beneath and tightening bass response. Rubber feet are supplied as standard for hard flooring, where spikes could cause damage. The combination of a rigid steel structure and effective floor coupling means the driver does the work, not the enclosure.
