Ramin Djawadi’s score for the second season of HBO’s Westworld is a masterful blend of original orchestral compositions and reimagined contemporary songs. Spanning 29 tracks across three 180-gram silver vinyl LPs, this limited edition numbered pressing from Music On Vinyl captures the full breadth of the season’s musical landscape — from sweeping orchestral themes to haunting piano arrangements of tracks by Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, and Wu-Tang Clan.

The Music

Season 2 of Westworld deepened the show’s exploration of consciousness and identity, and Djawadi’s score rises to meet that ambition. The collection features the iconic Main Title Theme alongside original cues such as “Journey Into Night”, “Kiksuya”, and “Vanishing Point”. Interspersed throughout are the show’s signature reinterpretations of well-known songs: orchestral and piano versions of “Heart-Shaped Box”, a player-piano rendition of “Seven Nation Army”, and Djawadi’s takes on “Paint It Black”, “C.R.E.A.M.”, and “We’ll Meet Again”.

This Pressing

Released in 2018 by Music On Vinyl, this is a limited edition of 2,000 individually numbered copies pressed on silver coloured vinyl at 180 grams per disc. The set is housed in a trifold gatefold sleeve and includes a PVC protective outer sleeve. Original artwork is by Greg Ruth, with art direction by Spencer Hickman and layout by Alan Hynes.
