Van Damme White Line LSZH 2.5mm Speaker Cable (Per Metre)

Part of Van Damme's White Line range, this 2.5mm² install grade speaker cable is built specifically for fixed installations in environments where Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) materials are mandated. Public buildings, schools, hospitals, government facilities, marine vessels and new-build construction projects all require LSZH-rated cabling to minimise toxic fume emission in the event of fire. The White Line series meets these requirements while maintaining the sonic performance Van Damme is known for in the professional audio industry.

Construction & Materials

The cable uses a twin axial configuration with 2 × 50 strands of 0.25mm bare ultra-pure oxygen free copper, giving a total cross-section of 2.50mm² per conductor. Ultra-pure OFC stranding delivers low resistance and excellent signal integrity across both low impedance and 100V line speaker applications. The SHF1 LSZH thermoplastic polymer jacket is finished in Pure White (RAL 9010), chosen for visual neutrality in exposed installation runs where coloured cables would be intrusive.

Electrical Performance

Conductor resistance is rated at 7.30 Ω/km, keeping signal losses low over the extended cable runs typical of commercial installations. The cable is rated for a working voltage of 300/500V and operates across a temperature range of –35°C to +70°C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor routing where environmental extremes may be encountered.

Installation

With an overall diameter of 7.80mm and a minimum bend radius of 10 × overall diameter (78mm), the cable handles well during installation in trunking, conduit and containment systems. All cables in the White Line range are fully tested and compliant with IEC standards covering fire retardancy of single and bunched cables, halogen gas emissions and smoke density.
