Released in 1977 on Bearsville Records (catalogue number BR 6970), the record marked a decisive shift away from the band's progressive rock origins towards a more concise, melodic approach. Produced by Todd Rundgren and recorded in stereo, the album features twelve tracks spread across two sides.
