Trade In and Pay Less: Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

The Trade In and Pay Less service is available to registered customers with a UK delivery address, aged 18 or over. A minimum basket value of £500 in new-condition products is required to start a trade-in request.

2. Accepted and excluded items

We accept projectors, speakers, amplifiers, AV receivers, subwoofers, cables, interconnects, and similar products available on our website. We do not accept: furniture; media (DVDs, Blu-rays, records, discs, or any other physical media format); or consumable items (projector bulbs, stylii, and similar). We reserve the right to decline any item at our discretion.

3. No cash payments

Trade-in credit may only be applied toward a purchase on our website. We do not offer cash payments or transfers. Trade-in credit will not exceed the total value of the order being placed.

4. Offers and validity

We review each request individually and an offer is not guaranteed until confirmed in writing. Offers are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. We reserve the right not to make an offer on any item.

5. Condition guarantee

Our offer is based on the condition described in your submission. If your item arrives in the condition described, the offered price is guaranteed. If the item arrives in a worse condition than described, we will contact you within 48 hours of receiving it with a revised offer.

6. Revised offers and returns

You have 7 days to accept or decline a revised offer. If you decline, or if we do not receive a response within 7 days, we will arrange for your item(s) to be returned to you at no charge.

7. Packaging and transit

You are responsible for packing your items safely for transit. Items damaged due to inadequate packaging may be rejected or subject to a revised offer. Original packaging (original box plus all inserts) typically achieves a higher valuation. After accepting an offer, we will agree the most suitable method for getting items to us (collection, prepaid label, or drop-off) based on size and quantity. We cover the cost of collection or prepaid labels where we arrange them.

8. Dispatch deadline

After accepting an offer, you must arrange dispatch of your trade-in items within 7 days. Failure to do so may result in the offer being withdrawn.

9. Personal data

Please factory reset any smart devices, connected equipment, or devices that may store personal data before sending. Remove all personal accounts and login credentials. We accept no liability for personal data left on items received.

10. Proof of ownership

Proof of original purchase is not required, but may increase the valuation where a manufacturer's warranty remains active and is transferable to a new owner.

11. Payment options

Pay Balance: You send your trade-in item(s) to us first. Once received and confirmed to be in the described condition, we dispatch your new item(s) and charge the balance to your payment method.

Pay In Full: You pay in full and receive your new item(s). You then send your trade-in. Once received and checked, we issue a refund within 48 hours (plus time for the refund to clear with your bank or card provider).

12. Stock availability

Items are not reserved while a trade-in request is under review. Stock is allocated when the customer accepts an offer. Live stock availability is shown on each product page. In the unlikely event that an item is unavailable at or after the point of payment, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or a refund.

13. Returns on new items

Your statutory consumer rights and our standard returns policy apply to new items purchased. If you return new items after already dispatching your trade-in, we may charge reasonable costs to return your trade-in items to you.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
