Turns Into Stone is a compilation of non-album singles and B-sides by The Stone Roses, originally released in 1992 on Silvertone Records. This Music On Vinyl reissue presents the album on 180-gram audiophile-grade vinyl, pressed in the EU.
The Collection
Assembled as a companion piece to the band’s legendary 1989 self-titled debut, Turns Into Stone gathers eleven tracks that charted the Mancunian quartet’s rise through the late-eighties Madchester scene. The compilation opens with Elephant Stone — the band’s first collaboration with producer John Leckie — and spans the full arc from early indie-pop singles through to the sprawling, groove-laden Fools Gold, widely regarded as one of the defining records of the era.
