Acoustically Centred Time Alignment

SVS's proprietary Acoustically Centred Time Alignment (ACAT) technology positions all drivers along a precise vertical axis so that their acoustic centres reach the listener simultaneously. This coherent arrival time across the frequency range eliminates phase smearing at the crossover points, producing a seamless transition from bass through midrange to high frequencies. The carefully chosen crossover frequencies — 170Hz between the woofer array and midrange section, and 1,800Hz between midrange and tweeter — keep each driver operating within its optimal bandwidth, minimising distortion and preserving natural timbre.

Driver Engineering

The four woofers and two midrange drivers use SVS's composite glass-fibre cone construction, chosen for its high stiffness-to-mass ratio. A stiff cone resists flexing under dynamic transients, maintaining accurate pistonic motion across the driver's operating range. The 1" aluminium dome tweeter extends high-frequency reproduction to 40kHz, ensuring the speaker resolves the finest spatial and harmonic detail in high-resolution recordings.
