The SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle is the flagship floorstanding speaker in SVS's Ultra Evolution series — a range engineered to deliver reference-quality performance at a competitive price point. Sitting at the top of the Ultra Evolution lineup above the Titan and Tower models, the Pinnacle is a full-scale, room-filling three-way design built around SVS's most advanced driver and crossover technologies.
Driver Architecture
The Pinnacle's driver complement is extraordinary for the price: four 8" woofers arranged in a force-balanced array, two 5.25" glass fibre composite midrange drivers, and a single 1" vapor-deposition diamond-coated tweeter. The woofers are deployed in a force-balanced arrangement that cancels mechanical vibration, reducing cabinet resonance and allowing the cabinet walls to remain inert even at high output levels.
The 1" tweeter features a vapor-deposition diamond-coated aircraft-grade aluminium dome and SVS's Organic Cell Lattice Diffuser, a waveguide geometry with a semi-random pattern derived from organic cell structures, designed to control high-frequency dispersion and extend smooth output up to 40kHz.
Acoustically Centred Time Alignment
SVS's Acoustically Centred Time Alignment positions the tweeter and midrange drivers at the acoustic centre of the cabinet, so that sound from all three frequency bands arrives at the listening position coherently in time. This addresses one of the fundamental challenges in multi-way loudspeaker design, where physical separation between drive units can smear transient information.
Crossover Network
The Pinnacle uses a precision crossover network built with premium-grade capacitors, inductors, and resistors on a heavy-trace printed circuit board. Crossover points are set at 140Hz and 1.8kHz, handing bass duties to the woofer array, midrange to the 5.25" drivers, and treble above 1.8kHz to the diamond tweeter.
Cabinet and Finish
The Pinnacle's cabinet measures 1260mm tall, 300mm wide, and 460.7mm deep, with an overall height of 1275mm including grille, feet, and binding posts. Each speaker weighs 43.9kg — substantial mass that contributes to the cabinet's acoustic inertness. The Black Ash variant features a textured vinyl finish suited to everyday listening environments; Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White variants are also available for a more formal aesthetic.
