The SVS Ultra Evolution Elevation occupies the flagship position in SVS's height and surround speaker range — a direct, technically superior successor to the well-regarded Prime Elevation. Engineered specifically for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D home cinema systems, it extends substantially deeper in the bass and delivers greater dynamic headroom than its predecessor, while retaining the multi-angle wall and ceiling mounting flexibility that made the Prime Elevation a benchmark at its price point. The included Multi-Angle Wall/Ceiling Bracket supports overhead, upward-firing, downward-firing, and side-firing configurations, giving installers full flexibility to adapt the speaker to the room rather than the other way around.
Diamond-Coated Tweeter
The tweeter is a 1-inch aluminium dome whose surface has been hardened through a vapour deposition process — a technique that applies a diamond-carbon layer to the substrate, dramatically increasing the dome's rigidity beyond what aluminium alone can achieve. The result is extended high-frequency response to 40kHz, well above the limits of human hearing, with precise transient reproduction and very low distortion. An organic cell lattice diffuser around the tweeter optimises off-axis dispersion, maintaining accurate height-channel localisation whether the speaker is angled down from the ceiling or fired from the side wall.
Woofer and Enclosure
The 5.25-inch mid-woofer uses a glass-fibre composite cone, chosen for its stiffness-to-weight ratio. A precision-cast aluminium-alloy basket holds the cone and motor assembly rigidly in place at all drive levels, preventing the geometry shifts that introduce colouration at higher output. The angled front baffle is purpose-designed for down- and side-firing use, directing the driver output accurately into the listening area from any mounting position. A rear-firing bass reflex port, tuned in conjunction with the speaker's sealed-front acoustic cavity, extends the low-frequency response to 48Hz — unusually deep for an elevation speaker and responsible for the genuine weight and body the Ultra Evolution brings to height channels. The acoustically transparent neodymium magnetic grille clips on without visible fixings.
System Integration
SVS has voiced the Ultra Evolution Elevation to integrate seamlessly with the rest of the Ultra Evolution family — tower, bookshelf, centre, and surround — as well as with the SVS Prime Series. The crossover is set at 1,900Hz with premium components, and the speaker's 6-ohm nominal impedance and 87dB sensitivity sit comfortably within the drive capability of any AV receiver rated at 20–150 watts per channel. Building a full Ultra Evolution surround system, or mixing the Elevation into an existing Prime setup, yields coherent, matched sound from every channel.
