The SVS SoundPath Tri-Band Wireless Audio Adapter is SVS’s premium wireless audio solution, designed for use in environments where multiple wireless devices operate simultaneously. It sits above the standard SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter in SVS’s accessories range, adding automatic tri-band frequency selection to overcome the interference challenges that can affect single-band 2.4 GHz adapters.
Tri-Band Wireless
Unlike the standard SoundPath adapter, which operates exclusively on the 2.4 GHz band, the Tri-Band model automatically monitors all three bands, 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz, and switches to the cleanest available channel in real time. This makes it particularly well-suited to modern homes with multiple Wi-Fi networks, smart home devices, and other wireless peripherals competing for spectrum.
Audio Performance
The adapter transmits a full-range audio signal from 6 Hz to 20 kHz (±0.5 dB), sampling at 48 kHz with a wireless data rate of 22 Mbps. Latency is specified at less than 19 milliseconds. Total harmonic distortion plus noise is rated at −70 dB across 10 Hz–20 kHz, and signal-to-noise ratio is +105 dB over the same band. Crosstalk measures better than 75 dB at 1 kHz.
Connectivity and Range
The system supports both mono and true stereo operation via RCA connections, with left and right channel outputs on the receiver unit. Up to six receivers can be paired with a single transmitter, enabling multi-room distribution from a single source. Wireless range is specified at 40 metres line-of-sight.
