The SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System is part of SVS's SoundPath range of audio accessories, designed to decouple a subwoofer from the floor so that structural vibrations do not travel through joists, walls and ceilings. By weakening the mechanical link between the cabinet and the surface beneath it, the feet allow low-frequency energy to be transferred through the air, where it is felt, rather than into the building structure.
How It Works
Each foot uses an optimised durometer elastomer isolator in an anodised steel outer shell with stainless steel machine screws. This construction significantly reduces the transmission of subwoofer energy through floors and walls, which results in cleaner, tighter bass with less floor boom, and fewer buzzes and rattles from objects around the room. It is a discreet and affordable alternative to subwoofer platforms and risers.
Fitment and Compatibility
The feet come in a variety of thread sizes that screw into most subwoofers' existing threaded inserts, subtly elevating the cabinet on a cushion of elastomer. They work with nearly every subwoofer brand and model that accepts screw-in feet. The same system can also be used under speakers and other components where decoupling from the supporting surface is beneficial.
Pack Options
This is the 4 Pack, which provides one foot for each corner of a typical subwoofer. A 6 Pack is also available for larger or heavier cabinets that benefit from additional support points.
