The SVS SB-1000 Pro is the entry point to SVS’s Pro series of sealed subwoofers, sitting below the SB-2000 Pro and SB-3000 in the range hierarchy. It is engineered to deliver reference-quality bass performance from a compact sealed cabinet, making it suited to both dedicated music systems and home cinema installations where space is limited but bass quality cannot be compromised.
Driver and Amplification
At its core is a newly designed 12-inch high-excursion driver featuring a fibre composite cone paired with a proprietary injection-moulded extreme-excursion surround. This combination is engineered to ensure fast pistonic motion with improved control and accuracy compared to the non-Pro predecessor. The driver is powered by a Sledge STA-325D Class D amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output, delivering 325 watts RMS with peaks exceeding 820 watts.
DSP and App Control
The SB-1000 Pro incorporates a 50 MHz Analogue Devices audio DSP with custom tuning specific to this enclosure. All DSP parameters are accessible via the SVS smartphone app over Bluetooth, allowing adjustment from the listening position. The app provides control over volume, crossover frequency, polarity, room gain compensation, and a three-band parametric EQ — enabling precise integration with the main speakers and compensation for room acoustics without needing to leave the chair.
Cabinet Design
The sealed cabinet measures 330 × 342 × 375 mm and weighs approximately 11.9 kg, making it compact enough to tuck beside furniture or mount in tight spaces. The sealed enclosure design delivers tight, controlled bass with fast transient response — characteristics that favour musical accuracy and timing over the higher maximum output of a ported design. For those prioritising sheer output over compactness, SVS offers the ported PB-1000 Pro as a companion model in the same series.
Connectivity
Rear panel connections include stereo RCA line-level inputs, a dedicated LFE input, stereo RCA line-level outputs for daisy-chaining or pass-through, a 12V trigger input for automated power control, and a USB port for firmware updates.
