The SVS Prime Satellite is a compact two-way satellite speaker from SVS’s Prime Series, designed to serve as a flexible building block in a home cinema system. Compact and easily adaptable, this versatile speaker can serve as front left/right, surround or height effect channels in a 5.1 or larger system, and is intended to be paired with an SVS subwoofer handling the frequencies below its 69Hz lower limit.
Drivers
The Prime Satellite uses a 4″ polypropylene cone woofer with a cast ABS and glass fibre composite basket, providing a controlled balance of stiffness and damping across the midrange. The tweeter is a 1″ aluminium dome Ultra Tweeter fitted with an FEA-optimised metal mesh diffuser that controls high-frequency dispersion up to the speaker’s 25kHz ceiling.
Cabinet and Mounting
The compact enclosure measures 224.8 × 124.5 × 160mm (H × W × D) and supports wall or bracket mounting, making the Prime Satellite straightforward to position in a variety of room layouts. It is available in Premium Black Ash, Piano Gloss Black, and Piano Gloss White finishes.
System Integration
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 85 dB, the Prime Satellite is compatible with a wide range of AV receivers. SVS specifies a recommended amplifier power range of 20–150 W, giving it considerable headroom when paired with higher-powered receivers.
