SVS Prime Elevation Speaker - Black Gloss (Pair)

The SVS Prime Elevation sits within SVS's Prime loudspeaker series and is designed specifically for use as a height effects channel in Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D immersive audio systems. Its defining characteristic is a precisely angled front baffle — engineered so that whether the cabinet is wall-mounted horizontally at ear height, ceiling-mounted for overhead effects, or used freestanding on a shelf, the high-frequency dispersion pattern remains optimally directed toward the listening position. A single enclosure design covers virtually every speaker position in a modern surround sound system: height effects, front LCR, surround, and rear channels.

Driver Architecture

The Prime Elevation uses a 2-way configuration pairing a 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter with a 4.5-inch mid-woofer. A 2.5 kHz crossover point with 12 dB/octave slopes provides the transition between drivers. Frequency response extends from 55 Hz to 25 kHz (±3 dB), with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 87 dB (2.83 V at 1 m, measured across 300–3 kHz). The recommended amplifier power range is 20–150 watts, making the Prime Elevation straightforward to integrate with any AV receiver of moderate power.

Mounting and Placement Flexibility

The included Multi-Angle Wall Bracket adjusts to four distinct mounting positions, allowing the speaker to be directed upward, downward, left, or right to optimise coverage for a given room geometry. A ceiling mount insert is also supplied in the box. Gold-plated five-way binding posts at the rear accept bare wire, spade connectors, or banana plugs. The compact cabinet — 235 × 138 × 200 mm without bracket — is suited to positions where a full-size speaker would be impractical, and weighs 3.5 kg per unit.

Finish

The Piano Gloss Black version features a premium lacquered finish. The Prime Elevation is also available in Black Ash and Piano Gloss White.
