The Rolling Stones' groundbreaking multi-platinum album Let It Bleed was originally released in late 1969, reaching number one in the UK and number three in the US. This 2019 reissue marks the 50th anniversary of the album, with a stereo remaster completed by GRAMMY-winning engineer Bob Ludwig.
The Album
Let It Bleed extends the raw rock and blues direction established on Beggars Banquet into harder-rocking territory. Recorded largely without Brian Jones, the album features contributions from a wide cast of musicians and showcases the band at a creative peak. From the ominous opening of "Gimme Shelter" to the anthemic closer "You Can't Always Get What You Want", the record remains one of the most celebrated albums in rock history.
50th Anniversary Remaster
This pressing features a new stereo remaster by Bob Ludwig, one of the most respected mastering engineers in the industry. Ludwig's work preserves the raw energy and dynamic range of the original recordings whilst benefiting from modern mastering techniques.
