Description

This Music May Contain Hope. is the second studio album by the British singer and songwriter Raye, released independently on 27 March 2026 through Human Re Sources. This is the standard edition, a double LP pressed on Marigold Yellow vinyl and issued in a gatefold sleeve with a 34 page booklet.

The Album

Raye wrote and co-produced the record with collaborators including Jordan Riley, Chris Hill, Mike Sabath, Tom Richards, Pete Clements and Hans Zimmer. It follows her 2023 debut My 21st Century Blues and draws on jazz, big band, soul, blues and orchestral pop, exploring themes of hope and liberation and the complexities of human emotion. Raye has described the sound as a form of rebellion against the simpler, more minimal model she worked in for years. Guests include Hans Zimmer on "Click Clack Symphony.", the soul singer Al Green on "Goodbye Henry.", Raye's grandfather Michael on "Fields.", and her sisters Amma and Absolutely on "Joy.", which builds on a vocal loop sampled from a James Brown recording.

Four Seasons

The album runs to 17 tracks and around 73 minutes, structured as four acts named after the seasons, with each side of the vinyl carrying one of them: side A is Act I (Autumn), side B is Act II (Winter), side C is Act III (Spring) and side D is Act IV (Summer). Three singles preceded it: "WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!", released on 19 September 2025, which became Raye's second UK number one; "Nightingale Lane.", released on 27 February 2026; and "Click Clack Symphony.", released on 20 March 2026.

This Pressing

Two LPs on Marigold Yellow vinyl, the international edition issued for territories beyond North America under catalogue number TMMCHLP01. Lacquers were cut by Mike Hillier. Raye has noted that the vinyl mixes are not the finalised versions heard on the digital release, describing the record as a "first edition" because of the deadline for the vinyl to be pressed.

Packaging

The front cover carries a die-cut window, with the album title printed on the inner sleeve behind it so that it shows through the opening. The inside of the gatefold has a cut-out that holds a 34 page booklet containing musicians, lyrics and credits. The artist name, the hype sticker and the barcode are printed on the shrink wrap.
