Rage Against The Machine is the self-titled debut studio album by the American rock band Rage Against the Machine, first released in 1992. This edition presses the album on a single 180 gram vinyl LP, remastered and reissued through Epic Associated, Legacy and Sony Music.
The Album
The record collects ten tracks, opening with "Bombtrack" and running through the band's best known early material, including "Killing In The Name", "Take The Power Back", "Bullet In The Head", "Know Your Enemy", "Wake Up" and "Freedom". The music combines rock with funk metal, built around the group's guitar and rhythm-section interplay.
Recording
The album was recorded at Sound City in Van Nuys, California, with additional recording at Scream Studios. It was mixed at Quantum Sound Studios in Jersey City and mastered at Masterdisk in New York.
