Aircore Triple Concentric Spiral Geometry

At the heart of the Genesis Silver Spiral is QED's proprietary Aircore technology. Nine bunches of individually insulated conductors are wound in a triple concentric spiral around a hollow polyethylene central core. This geometry serves a specific electrical purpose: by keeping the conductors spaced around an air-filled centre rather than packed tightly together, self-inductance is reduced to approximately half of calculated values for a solid-core cable of equivalent cross-section. The result is a cable that maintains signal integrity across the full audio bandwidth, with particularly clean high-frequency transmission.

Conductor Construction

Each of the nine conductor bunches uses silver-plated 99.999% oxygen-free copper (OFC). The silver plating provides a low-resistance surface layer that exploits the skin effect at audio frequencies, where current flow concentrates near the conductor surface. Factory Termination
