Complementary Conductor Technology

At the heart of the cable is QED's Complementary Conductor Technology (CCT), which uses two silver-plated 99.999% oxygen-free copper conductors of deliberately different diameters. This offset geometry is designed to minimise timing errors across the frequency spectrum, ensuring the bass signal arrives at the subwoofer with its rhythmic character intact.

Construction and Shielding

The cable employs a dual symmetrical twisted-pair geometry for enhanced signal transfer and improved noise reduction. A 99.999% OFC braid provides coaxial screening against electromagnetic interference, while a floating internal Zn/Mn ferrite jacket absorbs high-frequency noise signals before they can reach the audio path. The low-loss foamed polyethylene dielectric further contributes to signal purity by reducing dielectric absorption.

Analoc Connectors

Termination is handled by QED's twin-leaf 24K gold-plated Analoc2 RCA plugs. These feature high-purity gold-plated copper contacts and a hollow central pin, a design intended to combat the skin effect at audio frequencies and maintain signal fidelity from source to subwoofer.
