The QED Performance HDMI E sits within QED's Performance cable range, designed to deliver reliable High Speed HDMI connectivity with full HDMI 1.4 feature support. It uses 26 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors with 99.999% purity, and QED specify a conductor cross-section 59% greater than that found in standard HDMI cables — a design choice intended to ensure consistent signal integrity across the supported cable lengths.
Construction
The cable's conductor assembly uses 26 AWG, 99.999% oxygen-free copper, providing a low-resistance signal path. The increased copper area over minimum-specification HDMI cables reduces resistive losses across the high-frequency TMDS data channels that carry video and audio information.
Performance & Compatibility
The Performance HDMI E is certified as a High Speed HDMI cable and supports a pixel clock rate of 340 MHz with a data rate of 10.2 Gb/s — the full High Speed HDMI bandwidth. QED's own testing records a throughput of 13.9 Gb/s, exceeding the minimum certification threshold. The cable supports HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) and Audio Return Channel (ARC), allowing a single cable to carry bidirectional data or return audio from a television to an AV receiver. It is also certified for 3D content delivery.
