The QED Connect 3.5mm Jack to Jack Cable sits within QED's entry-level Connect range — a series of affordable audio and video cables designed in the UK to deliver dependable performance without complication. The Connect range sits below QED's Performance and Reference tiers, offering straightforward connectivity for everyday use with portable devices, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
Construction
The cable uses 99.99% oxygen-free copper conductors paired with an HDPE (high-density polyethylene) dielectric to maintain signal integrity. Each end is terminated with a custom-moulded 24K gold-plated 3.5mm stereo jack plug, providing a corrosion-resistant, low-noise connection. The plugs feature a stepped profile designed to fit through most mobile phone cases without needing to remove the case first.
The outer jacket is a satin black PVC with a slim 4mm outer diameter, keeping the cable ultra-flexible and easy to route. A built-in channel identifier on each plug helps with orientation during installation.
Applications
This stereo jack-to-jack cable is intended for connecting any device with a 3.5mm stereo output — such as a portable music player, laptop, smartphone, or tablet — to an auxiliary line input on an amplifier, powered speaker, or portable speaker. It carries a standard stereo analogue audio signal across both left and right channels.
