The Q Acoustics QI65SP ST Performance In-Ceiling Stereo Speaker delivers full stereo playback from a single ceiling-mounted unit — the ideal solution for rooms where installing two separate speakers is not practical, or where a single listening point is required. Using a dual voice coil 6.5" polypropylene woofer paired with two swivelling 1" silk dome tweeters, the QI65SP ST provides balanced stereo sound from one discreet aperture cut in the ceiling.

Performance-Grade Drivers

The injection-moulded, mass-damped polypropylene cone of the 6.5" bass driver is treated with Nano Particle technology to minimise resonance and colouration. A larger magnet assembly — compared to Q Acoustics standard in-ceiling range — increases power handling ability for higher output levels in larger rooms. Both 1" (25mm) silk dome tweeters are independently swivellable, allowing each to be aimed toward the listening position, and the high-frequency output level can be trimmed by +/-3dB via the crossover switch to suit room acoustics and personal preference.

Precision Crossover and Connectivity

The internal crossover uses high-quality precision components with gold-plated connectors to preserve signal integrity. One-hand push-open spring terminals accept bare wire or spade connectors, and front-mounted screw clamps secure the speaker to the ceiling batten without requiring rear access after initial installation.

Versatile Installation

At less than 84mm mounting depth with a 203mm cutout diameter, the QI65SP ST fits into standard joist spaces and plasterboard ceilings. The slim bezel clips magnetically into place for a clean finish. A square grille is supplied as standard; circular grilles are available as an optional extra and can be swapped without removing the speaker from the ceiling. The driver and enclosure materials are moisture proof and manufactured from UL94 flame-retardant materials, making the speaker suitable for kitchens and bathrooms as well as living rooms and bedrooms.
