Q Acoustics Q Install LCR 65RP In-Wall Speaker (Single)

The Q Install LCR 65RP is a dedicated in-wall LCR (Left/Centre/Right) loudspeaker from Q Acoustics' professional install range. Employing a D'Appolito MTM array — twin 6.5" woofers symmetrically flanking a central 1" tweeter — it delivers focused sound suited to all three front channels of a home cinema system. At just 85mm rear depth, it fits into standard stud wall cavities.

Driver Design

Both low-frequency drivers use Q Acoustics' Nano Particle technology: polypropylene cones that are injection-moulded and mass-damped with nano-particle loading to reduce resonance and colouration. High-powered voice coil and magnet assemblies deliver low distortion and high transient power capability — essential for the dynamic peaks demanded by film soundtracks.

The 25mm silk-dome tweeter is mounted on a swivel mechanism, allowing the high-frequency axis to be angled independently of the baffle. An additional high-frequency level trim is provided on the crossover to compensate for different room acoustics. High-order crossover networks ensure smooth frequency handover between drivers.

Installation

The LCR 65RP accepts a standard in-wall cutout of 483 × 193mm (nominal). A low-profile magnetic grille measures 511 × 221mm and attaches flush to the wall surface. The 85mm maximum rear depth suits standard UK stud wall cavity depths.

As an LCR-specific design, the D'Appolito array can be installed horizontally for a dedicated centre channel position or vertically for left and right channels, making it effective as a matched three-channel front stage or as a standalone centre speaker.
