The Q Acoustics FS75 is a purpose-built speaker stand designed for the Concept 30 bookshelf speakers and the Q Active 200 wireless speakers. Drawing directly from the tensegrity stand developed for Q Acoustics’ flagship Concept 300 loudspeaker, the FS75 applies the same engineering principles to a more accessible price point, offering a meaningful acoustic upgrade over conventional speaker stands.
Tensegrity Design
The FS75 employs a tensegrity structure — a framework of stainless steel rods held in compression and stabilised by cables in tension. This low-mass, low-reflectivity construction minimises resonance transfer between the floor and the speaker cabinet in both directions, reducing coloration and improving bass definition. The design was originally inspired by the Skylon structure from the 1951 Festival of Britain, and was first developed by Q Acoustics for the Concept 300.
Construction & Compatibility
Each stand is constructed from stainless steel and weighs just 2.3kg, keeping the overall mass low to avoid introducing its own resonant signature. The top plate accepts both the Concept 30 and Q Active 200 via included bolt fixings, creating a rigid mechanical bond between speaker and stand. Adjustable spike feet with rubber covers are included for placement on both hard floors and carpet. Integrated cable clips provide tidy cable routing along the stand’s frame.
In the Box
Each pair includes two demounted speaker stands, two top plates, eight spikes with rubber covers, two top plate screws, eight speaker screws and four speaker bolts, six cable clips, and an instruction manual.
