The Q Acoustics E300A is an in-ceiling-installed smart hi-fi amplifier designed to be the central hub of a whole-home audio system. Sitting within Q Acoustics’ Install Series alongside the E120, the E300A combines Class D amplification, integrated Amazon Alexa voice control, and multi-room streaming in a single ceiling-mounted unit that disappears entirely from view once fitted.
Class D Amplification
The E300A delivers 2 × 25W of continuous power at 6 ohms, with a peak output of 2 × 50W. It is capable of driving up to four passive speakers in the same room or across multiple rooms, and is compatible with any passive speakers rated between 6 and 8 ohms — including Q Acoustics’ own QI range of in-ceiling and in-wall models. The frequency response spans 20Hz to 20kHz (±1dB).
Voice Control & Smart Home Integration
Three far-field microphones provide 360-degree voice pickup, enabling integrated Amazon Alexa voice control across even large open-plan spaces. The E300A can control music playback, manage smart home devices, set timers, and answer questions — all without a separate smart speaker. An LED light ring with an ambient light sensor provides visual feedback and adjusts brightness automatically to suit the room.
Streaming & Connectivity
The E300A supports Amazon Music, Apple AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect Hi-Fi for wireless streaming. Additional connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, and a wired Ethernet (RJ45) connection. A mini TOSLINK optical input accepts audio up to 24-bit/96kHz, making it suitable for connection to a television, while a 3.5mm stereo input provides a simple analogue connection for any line-level source.
Installation & Safety
Designed for professional installation during construction or renovation, the E300A mounts flush into the ceiling. The unit carries a certified 60-minute fire rating, eliminating the need for a separate fire hood. Two 4-metre speaker cables and a 1.3-metre power cable are supplied, along with a cutout template for installation. A supplied IR remote handset and the free Q Net app (iOS and Android) provide control alongside voice commands. The Q Net app handles Wi-Fi setup, EQ adjustments (bass, treble, balance), and source selection.
