Q Acoustics 3060S Slimline Subwoofer English Walnut

The Q Acoustics 3060S is the dedicated subwoofer within Q Acoustics’ 3000i series — the company’s most accessible range of loudspeakers. Designed to complement the 3010i, 3020i, 3030i, 3050i, and 3090Ci models in both stereo and surround configurations, the 3060S delivers controlled low-frequency reinforcement from a cabinet slim enough to tuck beside furniture or mount flat against a wall.

Slim, Versatile Cabinet

At just 150mm deep (155mm overall), the 3060S is one of the slimmest active subwoofers available. It can be positioned upright, laid horizontally, or wall-mounted using an optional dedicated bracket (Q 60WB). Floor mounting uses either the supplied rubber feet or spikes, depending on the surface. All controls and connections sit behind a removable magnetic hatch at the rear, and a downward-facing port allows cables to exit at the base for a clean, uncluttered installation.

Driver and Amplification

The 3060S pairs a 200mm (8-inch) long-throw bass driver with a 150W Class D amplifier in an infinite baffle (sealed) enclosure with an effective internal volume of 10.6 litres. The driver uses an impregnated and coated paper cone with a low-hysteresis rubber surround, a construction shared across the 3000i series that balances stiffness with self-damping. The variable crossover covers 35–250Hz, allowing the subwoofer to be tuned to match a wide range of satellite speakers.

P2P™ Bracing

Like all models in the 3000i series, the 3060S employs Q Acoustics’ Point to Point (P2P™) bracing technology. Rather than bracing every panel uniformly, P2P targets the specific areas of the cabinet that benefit most from additional stiffness, creating an exceptionally rigid enclosure that minimises panel vibration and colouration.

Finish and Build

The English Walnut finish is complemented by chrome-finish bezels and a magnetically attached grille. The 3060S is also available in Carbon Black, Arctic White, and Graphite Grey finishes, each sharing the same elegantly curved cabinetry that runs throughout the 3000i series.
