The Q Acoustics 3050i 5.1 Cinema Pack sits at the top of the 3000i Series home cinema range, building its front stage around the flagship 3050i floorstanding speakers. Where the more compact 3010i-based pack suits smaller rooms, the 3050i pack delivers greater scale, deeper bass extension and higher sensitivity — making it the natural choice for medium to large listening spaces.

System Components

The pack comprises six speakers: a pair of 3050i floorstanding speakers for the front left and right channels, a 3090Ci centre channel for dialogue, a pair of compact 3010i bookshelf speakers as surrounds, and a 3060S active subwoofer for low-frequency effects. All passive speakers share the same 22mm tweeter design and chrome bezel aesthetic, ensuring a tonally matched soundfield across all five channels.

3050i Floorstanding Speakers

Each 3050i is a two-way bass reflex design loaded with dual 165mm (6.5-inch) bass drivers and a 22mm tweeter. The twin mid/bass drivers are precision-formed from impregnated and coated paper with low-hysteresis rubber surrounds, engineered for accurate acceleration and controlled stopping. The tweeter is mechanically decoupled from the baffle via a compliant suspension system, isolating it from vibration transmitted by the two flanking bass drivers.

The 3050i cabinet incorporates two technologies originally developed for Q Acoustics’ award-winning Concept 500. P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing reinforces the parts of the enclosure most susceptible to resonance, stiffening the cabinet without adding unnecessary mass. HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser) uses a specially tuned tube filled with damping material inside the 32.4-litre cabinet to absorb standing waves and equalise internal pressure, reducing colouration. Together, these measures allow the drivers to operate against a quieter, more inert enclosure.

3090Ci Centre Speaker

The 3090Ci uses dual 100mm (4-inch) bass drivers flanking the same 22mm decoupled tweeter. This MTM (midrange–tweeter–midrange) configuration provides controlled horizontal dispersion, keeping dialogue anchored to the screen. With a sensitivity of 89dB and a crossover point of 2.7kHz, it integrates smoothly with the 3050i fronts at typical AV receiver power levels of 50–165W.

3010i Surround Speakers

The 3010i bookshelf speakers handle surround duties. Each houses a single 100mm bass driver and 22mm tweeter in a compact 4.0-litre reflex-loaded enclosure. At 4.1kg per speaker, they are light enough for wall mounting or placement on small stands. Their frequency response extends from 65Hz to 30kHz, and they require as little as 15W for stereo use or 50W from an AV receiver channel.

3060S Subwoofer

The 3060S is an active subwoofer with a 200mm (8-inch) bass driver powered by a 150W Class D amplifier. Despite its slim-profile enclosure (just 150mm deep), it uses an infinite baffle design with a 10.6-litre sealed volume to deliver tight, controlled bass down to 35Hz. The variable crossover (35–250Hz) allows precise integration with the satellite speakers and the room.

Design and Finish

All speakers in the pack feature chrome bezels around each driver and magnetic grilles for a clean, uncluttered appearance. Low-profile binding posts on the passive speakers accept 4mm banana plugs. The 3050i floorstanding speakers include adjustable floor spikes. The system is available in four finishes: Carbon Black, Arctic White, Graphite Grey, and English Walnut.
