The Wharfedale SW-10 is a compact active subwoofer from the SW series, designed to blend deep, controlled bass into any home cinema or hi-fi system. Built around a 250mm (10-inch) long-throw driver with a non-pressed paper cone, it delivers the low-frequency authority to bring film soundtracks and music fully to life without sacrificing the finesse that makes the SW series stand apart from purely impact-driven designs.
The driver features a copper-lined centre vent, which reduces magnetic distortion and improves heat dissipation during extended use. The rigid, well-engineered power amplifier module is optimised for high impact at low frequencies, delivering up to 200W peak power. A continuously variable low-pass crossover lets you blend the SW-10 seamlessly with any satellite speaker system, while independent phase and level controls allow precise tuning to the room.
Finished in Black Wood Vinyl with a gloss black baffle, this variant suits darker room schemes and pairs naturally with Wharfedale's matching floorstanding models. The sealed, high-gloss baffle design provides excellent structural damping, contributing to the SW-10's composed, articulate bass rather than a one-note thump. It is equally capable with music and cinema, suited to rooms up to around 35 square metres.
